Rhodiola rosea has been used for centuries in various cultures all throughout out Europe and Asia. Probably most known for being used by the famed Vikings which gave them their incredible strength and endurance or how Chinese emperors sent troops to Siberia to gather it for them, it was even mentioned in 77 AD by Greek physician Dioscorides when he documented it uses and even more recently by the soviet union and it use by Olympic athletes

What is it?

Rhodiola is a plant that grows naturally in the arctic regions of Europe, Asia and North America , known by many names such as Golden root or Arctic root and it has a long history with the native people of these lands as a medicinal herb with many uses which I will explain below

Benefits of Rhodiola rosea

How to consume

The most effective dose for Rhodiola is 300-500mg daily with a 1/8th teaspoon equalling about 350mg which I find is an effective dose, if I’m feeling particularly stressed I’ll take just under a 1/4  teaspoon which is roughly 500mg.You can add rhodiola to water or juice and consume as it has a very earthy flavour or add to smoothies. Our rhodiola extract contains 3% salidrosides and 1% rosavins which I find to be the most effective extract.
